Who is AW : A quick look into my life

Aw. Beardsley
Who is Aw. Beardsley? I am a 38 year mother of 5 wonderful children. I have been married for 15 years to a stubborn cranky man who adores me. *Most of the time* I am currently living back in Maryland so I can be close to my favorite person in the world , my grandma . I have worked in the customer service field since I was sixteen years old but am currently a stay at home mom. I am a proud advocate for my youngest daughter who is on the Autism spectrum. We have started a blog called Punky's palace of pink here on blogger, so come check us out if you'd like, we'd love to have you aboard. We have no current pets but we are looking for a fur baby to join the family soon. It's hard work having a fur baby adopt you.

My hobbies and interests : The most obvious hobby I have is reading. I really enjoy a quiet evening with a good book. My favorite book of all time is Gone with the wind. I am a music enthusiast so I spend a lot of time listening to my favorites on YouTube and even have my own playlist for Circle of Terra that I listen to when writing. I enjoy spending time with my family. I  have watched Days Of Our Lives since I was a little girl and continue to do so  because it something my Grandma and I can share together. My favorite family active is watching movies and playing board games.

My Favorites & Dislikes  I am a complete Garth Brooks freak.  I have every single CD and Box set he has released including the Chris Gaines album. I like all genre of music but my least favorite is hardcore metal. My favorite movie is Fools Rush In with Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek. My least favorite would have to be Dumb and Dumber. My favorite season is Summer. My least favorite is Winter. I loathe the color Yellow. My comfort food is Ice Cream or Pumpkin pie. I love the smell of rain.

My Writing:  I wrote my first poem when I was eleven years old. I have been creating stories in my head since I was roughly thirteen. A few years ago I decided to try to put them down on paper for the first time. Admittingly I have got stuck, sidetracked, lost hope, and attention over the years. I have roughly six different drafts for Circle of Terra. Five of them are about mid-way to completion. I have one draft (Current) which is so close to being finished I can taste it. My inspirations for writing are too numerous to list.

Circle of Terra Update

Hey Guys & Girls!

Just a quick update on the progress of Circle of Terra. I am happy to announce that I am currently working on Chapter twenty, which means I only have four more chapter to write before editing begins. I am excited! The progress I've been making is impressive, and I am looking forward to sharing it with you all very soon! I have removed Eternal Winter from this blog, and from The Roswell Coven blog as well. This is due to the progress being made on this project and possible conflicts in the story line. I want to give a big shout out to all  22,000 of you that viewed, shared, and tweeted Eternal Winter. All of you gave me the drive to push on with the story, so from my bottom of my heart THANK YOU!

Have a wonderful week.

Life and Death Book Review

                          Life and Death

                          Book Review

When I learned Stephanie Meyer had did a gender swapped version of Twilight, I was...well reluctant to read the reinvented version of the original story. I was afraid, the new story would somehow change the way I see the Twilight characters. I held out for ten months, but here is my review of Life and Death: Twilight reimagined.

                                    My Review

A week ago I sat down to read Life and Death, admittedly I was a little excited to make my return to Folks, and the twilight Universe. I flipped the cover page over with a vengeance, ready to devour the pages.

I was not past the third page before I lost steam.

The subtle changes made to fit the new characters, did a little more than shape the story, it changed the mood. The magic that made twilight fans all around the world fall in love with this series was gone.

What I felt was right with Life and Death

1. Charlie- His character pretty much remained the same.

2. Renee- She did remain the same.

3. *Spoiler Alert* The Funeral Scene. This one part made the book worth reading.  It was the shining moment of the entire story. Charlie and Renee's grief over Beau death was written so well it pulled at the heart strings, and reminded us why we fell in love with Meyer's books.

What I felt was wrong with Life and Death.

1. Everything not listed above.

The overall story did not work with the gender swap. There were to many elements that did not fit, and too much that was lost in translation. We were missing the chemistry of Jacob/Julie Black, The Cullen's Charisma, Especially little Alice as she danced into ours hearts. Archie was nice, but fell flat of the mark Alice left behind.  I think most fans would agree this version didn't work.

We're still hold out hope to see the midnight Sun.

Thanks for Visiting,

AW.

Reflection

            Reflection

I set out to find some peace,
I set out to find a little comfort,
In need of a guiding hand,
I was longing to be loved.

In the beauty of the ripples,
 Under the canopy of greens
I danced to a brand new melody.

In the heart of the mountains,
Underneath the light of the Moon,
My heart met it's one true match.

In the blue of a stranger eye's,
I saw a perfect reflection of me.

February 15th, 2016

I can hardly believe it has been a whole month since I've moved from Ohio back to Maryland. Time seems to be moving fast. I am happy to report the transition has been bumpy but is going relatively good. I'm getting settled into my new routine & have recently resumed writing the last half of  "The circle of Terra." I will continue to keep you updated as I progress. My presence on social media has not been fully resumed as of yet. I've decided to make my manuscript my main focus for now. I do however check in once a day on twitter & daily on my email. I also would like to say  thank you, for remaining loyal fans through this difficult time.

Much love to you all!

A Note From AW

Dear Friends,

First let me say thank you for visiting, reading, and sharing my page. I am very grateful for all that you have done, and continue to do! 14,000 + views & counting. I hope you have enjoyed the short stories and the rough unedited preview of my first chapter (My Eternal Winter) of my upcoming novel.

The Roswell Coven: Circle of Terra is now at roughly 79,000 words. I am so excited at the prospect of finishing my rough draft before the New Year is rang in, that I have decided to step away from my blog, twitter, and Facebook page. I will return once I have achieved my goal. I hope you understand.

Best of luck & I hope to see all of you in the New Year!

Yours truly,
AW. Beardsley
