On A sea of Sorrow (Poem)

We set sail on a sea of sorrow.
In a an ocean of own regrets.
Capsized are we by human nature.
As we strive towards Ignorant bliss.
                       ~
We whirl around in a pool of lies,
caught up in the undertow of sins we hide.
What we put off for tomorrow
On this day cannot be denied.
                      ~

As we aspire for ultimate perfection
On a tidal wave of confusion we ride
Violently we crash into the shore
Reeling in the aftermath of our own demise
                       ~
Shipwrecked are the lives we had.
The words of truth left unspoken.
Just another tainted soul lost at sea.
                       ~
The price we pay for our disillusions
Our love gets embedded deep within the sand
We set sail upon a sea of sorrow
In an ocean of our own regrets
